Sawako is a completely brilliant and lovely poet/translator who contacted me in the fall after my photos were up on Montevidayo. Check out her Mouth: Eats Color, the inaugural RF title, published last year. (I’m reading it right now)(it’s full of the poetry feeling)
DETAILS FORTHCOMING about when/how to order it, ask for review copies, and whether Ican come to your town and read to you and your friends (actually, that last part’s up to you, just ask!)
As I edit over the next few weeks I’ll post notes and questions, excerpts, fragments, and theories that I hope you’ll respond to as writers and readers yourselves. Because this is the internet, and that is why it is beautiful.
*Domestication Handbook is my MFA thesis manuscript, a cross genre/lyric essay document charting girl/animal locus, the diffusion of trauma, queer sexuality in the stucco house, and the search for the wholesome Other.
